Miami co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Charlie Strong is not expected to return, according to multiple reports this morning.

His Wiki page says Alabama CO-DC 2023… but I’ve seen no reports saying that.

That’s a joke because Steele went there. They were co-DCs at Miami together. When Steele left, Strong expected to be named DC. But, he wasn’t…Cristobal hired externally and Strong was essentially demoted. That’s why he is leaving.

His career took a dive after leaving UL for Texas. Had he stayed at UL for awhile who knows where he would be now. I also think if Chad Morris had stayed at SMU he would likely still be a HC

Only reason he had two years of success at UL was Teddy Bridgewater. Without Teddy, Charlie Strong never would have amounted to anything as a head coach.

Saw him up close at UT and he was flaming terrible, way over his head. Mack did leave a huge, steaming mess behind but Charlie Strong can't use that to cover himself.

Check his coaching record. Besides the last two years at UL and the squad he inherited his first year at USF, he's been a failure as a head coach.
