ask me what his qualifications are and I say "he couldn't walk backwards without falling when he got here and he played in the dadgum NFL" and you're gonna tell me he can't coach? He loves his players and he's gonna love em up this season till their hands are so sticky they cain't drop the ball. All in.

My favorite part was how he took a spectacular physical talent in Justyn Ross, put him in the slot, and he subsequently went undrafted. Five star recruit wide receivers really love seeing that.

necessity, and everybody knew it wasn't Ross's natural position. He was also playing on a bum foot, and throw in a spinal injury...yadda yadda.
You're making me sound like a Grisham defender.

He went undrafted more because of his neck. The foot injury making him test poorly also didn't help.

But his top, what, 3 (4?) receivers were injured most of the year? Ngata, Ladson, Ross, and seems like somebody else was missing plenty of snaps. Would Grisham really be a hero if he trotted out Higgins, freshman year Ross, and Renfrow, with some #1 overall draft pick tossing balls to them? Grisham's problem in 2021 wasn't Xs and Os, it was Jimmys and Joes.
That said, he still very much to prove the Xs and Os part.

Early on. Somebody coached them up.
If Tyler Grisham had been Tyler Grisham’s position coach, would he have made the NFL or would he be having beers every afternoon with Mal Lawyer?

Like I said, he still has to prove he can coach, but comparing him to previous Clemson coaches with healthy 1st day draft picks and generational QBs isn't exactly apples to lugnuts.

Bruh, Renfrow wasn’t a 1st day draft pick.

I’m not putting it all on Grisham either though. DJU couldn’t find an open receiver if he had a magic button to pause the game for 10 seconds, and TE’s play calling was so basic and predictable that the guys were rarely open, so I’m wait and see on TG.

rounder at worst. What WRs from the 2019 draft have outperformed him? But, to reiterate, TG still has to prove he can coach. I've heard mixed reviews from the little bit of attention I pay to it.

last year. Grissom just needs 5 or 6 guys to stay healthy. It's hard to compare when you don't have TL16 or DW4 at QB.
There's only been 2 WRUs the last 15 years who weren't rough around the edges somewhat when they came in, and that's Sammie and Ross.
