when is surgery "medically indicated" in that case?

Like, if you protest enough you can just have somebody pay for the surgery? Wait, what medical problem does mutilating somebody's genitalia solve?

This statement is just full of wow...

"Transgender people receiving Medicare may no longer be automatically denied coverage for sex reassignment surgeries, a U.S. Department of Health and Services review board ruled Friday in a groundbreaking decision that recognizes the procedures as a medically necessary and effective treatment for individuals who do not identify with their biological sex. "
Medically necessary??? Are you ####### kidding me?

Don't you realize...

that gender/ sex are just socially constructed, so it would be oppressive not to surgically alter someone to look like whatever sex they feel like they really are? Why would you want to wish the misery on someone of having to be whatever sex they were born when a surgeon can make them look more like whatever sex they want to be?

What % of the population does this horrible affliction

affect? I still wonder, with so many problems we all face, why we like to focus on the perceived plights of a fraction of the population.

Makes people feel nice to struggle for the "civil rights" of a "sexual minority."

It should be automatically denied

Doctors shouldn't be performing these surgeries either way, but other people especially don't need to be paying for people to modify their bodies according to their delusions.

take advantage of this? Dear God man, there's got to be at least five!
You know what's actually worth getting upset about? Congress buying tanks the Pentagon doesn't want. It's gonna cost half a billion dollars and Cam's worked up about old people getting sex changes. Hahahahahahaha.

righty captain O' platitudes.
Murcielago does bring up a good point about a handful of sex changes not equaling the overall hilarity.

I just don't think spending thousands of taxpayer dollars

turning some queen's #### into roast beef so they can feel good about themselves is in the public interest anymore than spending billions on tanks the military doesn't want.
I don't find that platitudinous.
