Your fact were for what you see. But there is more than what you see. Perhaps you should look at real facts like how much $ McDonalds made in 22 vs what chic made.., even look US only. To save you some time it’s VAST. I know that’s not what ur seeing at your local eateries
Look this place may be a big deal in the south and near your trailer park, but in most places in this country the mention of them in met with eye rolls and talk about politics. I’m sure thy would rather be marketable around the country than just a regional brand = more $

McDonald's makes more total money, BUT... Chick makes more per restaurant. They have fewer establishments. It's a vastly superior chain.
That being said, I don't see anything wrong with them moving towards more diversity; I think this is smart for business.

On the chopping block right now at large companies. It’s a fad that originated post-George Floyd, and was a luxury to have and boast about when profits were booming, but ultimately did nothing to help bottom lines more often than not. Just feels like they’re about 3 years late to a party that’s winding down.

So the people who stood up for Chick Fil A against proposed boycotts due to their support of right-wing politics through the owner's political donations are now going to boycott because they hired a diversity officer? Well, we do know that conservatives hate diversity.
We don't have many CFAs up here, so I rarely go, but I stopped by one a couple of weeks ago and parked next to a car with a Human Rights Watch sticker and a rainbow unicorn sticker. When I got out, the heavily pierced fem dude was getting back to his car with his bag of food. I wanted to ask if he was concerned about their politics but then decided he was probably an Uber Eats driver.

I would rather own the CFA in town here than have a money tree in my backyard. They basically keep a line all day long. It must be that every corporation has one of these positions, so we need to hire one type of thing. Or maybe they hired another Harvard MBA Marketing genius to screw up a good thing and she came up with the idea.

But it’s about as hard as you’d ever work for $200k/year. Because they front most of the opening costs, they also get most of the profits. Different biz model than the guy who drops $1M to open a Taco Bell and clears $400-450k off a restaurant that looks 90% empty most of the day.
