Hate we don’t have 3-4 in there as close as it is to Clemson. Would have a huge following if there were.

That would have been nice to see happen.Looking at this years Clemson Golf media guide there was one time where 4 Tigers did make the tournament in the same year and it happen in 2012 when Jonathan Byrd,Lucas Glover,Kyle Stanley and Corbin Mills(made the field by winning the United States Public Links) all played. There were 2 other occasions in 2008(Jonathan Byrd and D.J. Trahan)and 2011(Jonathan Byrd and Lucas Glover) where there were 2.

I think it just seems that way since we didn't have any Tigers in it for the April 2021 edition. Lucas played in the November 2020 edition, as a result of making it to the TOUR Championship in 2019. Kyle played in 2018 and 2019. Doc also played as an amateur in 2018.

I guess last year made me forget how many there have been recently,Thanks for listing them.I can't believe I did not remember Doc Redman and him being in the field based on winning the US Amateur in 2017

Is Doc qualified to play in this year’s? I seen where Tiger is at Augusta practicing. Not sure how that will turn out.

There’s still a chance. Doc could win the Texas Open.

Yep, same year he went to Jack's tourney, did pretty good and got media attention... Then he got the big head, quit school and turned pro. He found out the circuit is a little tougher than he may have thought.
I keep hoping one day before I leave this earth, Clemson will have a Rory, Justin Thomas, Spieth, Ricky, Phil, DJ Coot(not character wise) etc. But the clocks ticking. Kinda thought Lucas was after he won the Open.
Maybe Jacob becomes "that guy". Rare I know, but then didn't think we'd have a Dabo either.

Was really surprised that none of the players on the national championship team has not been more dominant.
Georgia has an impressive list of golfers currently on tour. I’m jealous.

Georgia has a bunch of players on tour. I've seen there practice facilities, pretty impressive.

There is not a shot that the Georgia players can practice on their facility that our players can’t practice on ours! UGA and Clemson has each had one NCAA golf championship since 2003. I wish all of our players that want to play on tour are successful, but that is not the total measure of success. I think Larry Pendleton and the Tiger program are exemplary.

We are exemplary. I hope Jordan can keep it going. Actually, I would love nothing more than to see Jordan turn our program into an Oklahoma State version. Or I should say replicate their success. Obviously no first hand knowledge but I've always respected what Holder built.
