LSU and Alabama

Jan 16, 2020, 10:35 AM

First I’m going to preface this by saying LSU deserved to win. No excuses from this Tiger.

This game with LSU, the interactions with their “fans” and seeing how some LSU players handle themselves (*cough Burrow, Odell *cough) have given me a new perspective on Alabama. Bama isn’t perfect as a program and I was growing tired of playing them every year, but after this years experience I have a greater appreciation for how their fans generally handle themselves, their players, and their program as a whole. For all of Tuas excuses last year he still comes off as a pretty good dude and they seem to have a pretty good positive culture.

Which brings me to my point I guess. Which is, losing sucks. But losing to a program with some sort of class is much easier to swallow than losing to one that has none. I hate to see low class succeed at anything and frankly I’ve been pretty surprised with what I’ve seen from LSU. I really have a better understanding now of why a program like LSU, who always has SO MUCH talent on its team, has only managed to win 3 titles in the modern era and why Saban bolted from that place when he had the chance. I’ll take this loss with pride still knowing how our program and fanbase generally conduct themselves.

I’ll also add that it is entirely possible that I somehow happened to miss out on the good side of LSU, so apologies to the classy LSU fans/players and a recommendation that you do whatever you can to take out the trash.

Indeed, Bama does move a notch or two after this

After watching how they handled (or couldn't handle) the win

I'll take the loss and keep the class as well.

OBJ and others at LSU clearly demonstrating the differences in our programs. The world sees it.
