Virginia Tech is the most surprising because Lane field is considered a tough place to play.

What I find interesting in this is that we’ve played 37 P5 opponents at home during that time, Duke is next at 36, several at 35 and NC St bringing up the rear with 31 (that part is not surprising).

What I mean, is I love how we are head and shoulders above the rest. While you're correct that it illustrates the weakness of the rest of the conference, my view is that there is no point in being concerned about things we cannot control.

It shows the ACC is strong top to bottom. It’s a gauntlet trying to get through the ACC schedule + Notre Dame. Thus the fifty-fifty toss up ratio after you get past Clemson.

I’m pretty sure this is the logic ESPN uses when talking about their SEC.

Lane Stadium is a loud stadium and probably is a tough place to play, but VT has not been very good the last 5 years or so. The reputation was earned during the Beamer years.
