I ribbed the LF pretty good during the game yesterday. I usually tell them good game and it’s all in good fun during their last half inning in the field, but I let the bottom of the 8th sneak up on me yesterday. Thanks to Clark’s efficiency I didn’t get a chance to extend the proverbial olive branch.

Get on the LF all game. Not for the sake of the player but just cause it's annoying to hear the wannabe comedians scream all game.

I don’t use names or say anything disrespectful. I also don’t ride a player the entire inning. I usually make one comment to them per inn8ng. Usually they laugh or give me a thumbs up sometime during the game. Just good old bseball ribbing. BTW I’ll participate as a fan the way I want to and you participate the way you want unless you want to pay me way n

So what if his way of participating as a fan is to scold fans that, in his opinion, are not acting in a way he approves? Is that OK too and are you offering to pay him to stop?

It is now a tradition to give the LF'er ribbing... Some even go online and research the guy to the point of knowing his GF, family members, etc. Nearly always amazes the guy at the "depth"... For example, i lived in Florida and moved back to Clemson and a UofSC guy i knew personally... I clued the instigators into things that only his family would know...Imagine the head games he had when strangers 700 miles away knew that his brother was called T-Bone. Don't recall much vulgar stuff, but taste differs from person to person...

I took my grandkids to a minor league game and we set near the wall by the bull pen. Everyone of them got tossed a ball by a player by the end of the day. I could have spent mega money on souveniers and still not have generated that much excitement from them.
