Louisville fans saying Watson was bottled up even before

he went out and was not the difference in the game that we lost him. I have to remind everyone we did have only 8 yards of offense when he went out, but he was injured at the end of a nine yard run. I think he would have gotten in his groove and we would have probably on to have a decent offensive day. His loss is going to definitely cost us a game or more in this stretch. We don't know how rusty he will be when he returns. Sucks that for his freshman year we have only gotten two starts at the six game mark and may end up only getting three or four starts for his entire freshman year. I was thinking by the Carolina game he'd really be settled into the position, but now if he plays at all against them, he may be really rusty.

2 in the first game of the season, and one in the 6th game of the season. That's not enough to say Williams has issues with drops. Williams has played excellent this season.

Maybe we will find a RB in this stretch, get back some injured OL, injured LB, and Peake.
We have really gotten ripped apart by injuries. Will be happy to get these guys back

On the way out I was telling UL fans, "Great game; be safe" and one of them said to me: "If your QB hadn't gotten hurt you would've beaten us worse." I think that's true. I responded that if we had played them in Louisville they would've won. The defense and the crowd were the difference.

It is obvious that Louisville had a better defense than we gave them credit for but there were many plays that Stoudt had opportunities to make some yardage and I think Watson could have made big plays with but it really doesn't matter now. A win is a win.

"A" game because of that. We will never know what might have happened. I want to think we would have scored more points, but who knows.

So, instead of Watson having Minus 9 yards of yardage, he had Munus 1 and you are confident as a result?
That's hard for a fiction writer to top.
Truth is, Stoudt was your best QB for that defense. Watson wasn't going to outrun any Louisville defenders. The traditional pocket passer wont the game for you. Watson would have coughed one up sooner or later.

coughing up 4th qtr leads. Watson will be back for your pathetic defense and will eat you alive. By the Watson did out run some Louisville defenders. So maybe you need to go to the eye doctor on Monday.

It's impossible to claim accuracy for what 'would have been,

but I'll say this. Eventually I believe Watson would have broken through for some big runs and that would have loosened up UL's defense. We believe what we want by faith.

Hard to be sure whether there would've been much difference in the outcome.
I didn't think Watson looked very good when he was in, except for the pass to Hopper.
