WHY ?!?!????

I don’t get this. I really liked Nick Honor and wish him all the best but….

WHY would you transfer to a school that only won 12 games this year and only 5 in their conference?? …and likely won’t be better than middle of the pack next year.

The transfer portal is a complete disaster for both players and schools!!!

Exactly - WHY? He's not going somewhere where he's

Apr 20, 2022, 7:41 AM

guaranteed more playing time, so that's not it. He's not going somewhere where he's likely to be part of a championship team, or even a team with a strong basketball tradition, so no upgrade for him there. He had a pretty successful year here at Clemson, was popular with fans and appeared to have bonded with teammates. Now, after all of that, he's leaving to spend his final year in Missouri? Say what?

It may turn out that there is a perfectly reasonable, understandable explanation. I know that young people who are trying to find their place in the world, as well as older people too, do things for all kinds of reasons, so who knows. I have heard that Dawes left to be clost to family and a former coach or something; and that makes sense. With Honor, it's a head scrathcher without knowing the real story.

"Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard."

Unlike in the past, no player wants to be a bench depth guy.

Nothing against Nick Honor. He’s a really good player. So is Al Amir Dawes.

But, it appears that better players are being recruited and that incoming players might quite possibly take minutes from both of them.

They could definitely help Clemson next year, but They are concerned with playing time. Hard to blame them in today’s environment.

Best of luck to Nick and Al Amir! Go Tigers!

Maybe cause just hired a good young coach who would have been nice at Clemson. Already brought some good recruits and players from portal in less than a month. Iowa State went from 2 wins last year to a sweet sixteen with a new coach this season. How? Because of the portal. Doesn't take too long now a days...

Nick Honor is one my all time faves....

loved his playing style, his grit , his never say die attitude, his playmaking ability, ....flat out hustle and just seemed like a good guy and a good teammate ..unselfish true point guard.. wish him nothing but the best, and would gladly stay on the tv station if i was channel surfing and came across him playing...wish he would have stayed, but there are always reasons and atmosphere conditions we dont know about ...

Lordy that is not much of a change.

Class of ‘71. Went through “rat season” and glad I did.

LORD...They went 12-21 last year and lost to Kansas City...

Perhaps he was led to believe there would be a slot for him at a better program, but that didn't pan out. I think a lot of kids in the portal get a rude awakening.

I guess defense and assists aren’t required

in the SEC either. Seems like a lateral move to me . Shows less than stellar competitive nature if he was scared of Dawes.
