The National Weather Service shared a radar image on Facebook that appears to capture large numbers of monarch butterflies and dragonflies begin carried north along a cold front earlier this month. The yellow and red colors show the highest concentration of butterflies and dragonflies on the leading edge, with more of them following behind indicated by the green color to the north.
