When Dabo was looking for his first DC, if I remember correctly it came down to Steele and Chavis.. Looking at what he has done at LSU, does anyone thing he would have had the same or even better results here?? Or is he just a product of the talent he has around him??

That's a tough question. There's no doubt he is surrounded by a ton of talent. I didn't think Steel was that bad of a coach. Don't think he had quite the overall talent that Chavis has got or has had.

Didn't we just kinda had to take Steele? I mean I liked the guy and all.... wished things could have worked out better for him here.

here. it is tough to tell. I think he is a good coach. not sure how well he recruits

Chavis the job, but so did LSU and Chavis chose to go to LSU.

He didn't NOT pick Chavis... Chavis picked the LSU job over the Clemson job.

To your point, it's probably a little of both.
