the end of this year, our O-line may be the best overall group we have ever had here. All they lack is experience, if recruiting stars mean ANYTHING at all.

Sometimes in short yardage there isnt much of a push. I dont know if that is due to all the RPO w run or what. There are times we need that and some attitude in short yardage situations

Could be young players having to focus a little more than normal on making sure their blocking assignment is correct. As they get more confident in what they’re doing as well as more comfortable playing together we could see them become more aggressive.

IMO, the O-line is a work in progress that should be very good come playoff time. I think our run game could improve.

If it's an RPO with TL16 as QB, the #1 thing on the OL minds is not to let their guy hit TL16 when he pulls it out to throw on some large percentage of the plays. I 100% guarantee that getting Trevor hit is a lot more painful on an OL than not getting a couple more yards. So sure that's going to impact how much push you get.

You also have exactly one senior that is on his last year of eligibility (pre-covid) and you have one true sophmore. So you are going to see strength increases next year and the year after that which will help that push (doesn't help this year though).

However, with that said, I think that our OL push is not where it needs to be this year, so far. Gotta stay low and keep the feet moving thru contact.

I didn't watch the OL performance very much in the Virginia game but when they showed a replay of the play when Melusa (Sp) scored his TD, the OL got a good push.
