Looking at the 2017 schedule

Who do we lose to? Maybe Louisville at their place? No way we lose to FSU at home or Auburn! That is unless we have a Championship hangover. But Dabo will not let that fly! Or course, last year before the season no one was counting Pitt as a loss...
Which is harder- Making it back to the Championship game after losing the year before, or making it back to the Championship game after winning the year before?

FSU is the more likely if anyone...
Louisville lost a ton of players, so you have Action Jackson with...nobody. With the defense we should have, and you saw what last years did in one half...do it 2 halves, Jackson doesn't stand a chance. they'll need more than a one man show.

I think we drop the loserville game on the road but win at home against FSU. I think FSU takes loserville at home. So in that round robin we all are 1-1. So who drops a trap game or do we have a three way tie?

With a better team last year, Louisville lost to Kentucky! Highly doubtful they can go 7-1 again in the ACC this year. They may indeed beat us or FSU, but they will trip up somewhere else along the way.

Everyone saw the LSU tape. They almost lost to Duke and Wake. Louisville will go 5-3 in the ACC this year at best

FSU and Auburn are the only teams that I think may be able to beat us without us turning the ball over at least 4 times. Because we have them both at home, I like our chances. I do think realistically, we will drop at least 1 game this year. As long as it's not FSU or UL, we should win the division again.
I think we'll have a much more conservative offense. Ground and pound behind our OL, then playaction for a deep ball. On one hand, I could see some low scoring (by our standards) slugfest type games. On the other hand, I could also see our defense scoring quite a few points, or directly leading to great offensive opportunities. We definitely need to rely on the defense this year, and not lose the game on offense no matter who the qb is.
NCSU could be trouble. They have a solid DL, and they always seem to have 1 game per year at home where they beat a good team. My prediction is 11-1, but if we somehow get through our first 5 games undefeated, it could be another special year.

NC State could be pretty tough on the road. They return a lot.
This season a good percentage of the opponents rank high nationally in returning starters. Auburn, FSU, State, BC, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, and South Carolina all return at least 15 starters.
Several of those haven't even began to be competitive in recent years but this season we'll need to play well and not take anyone for granted.
