They got deceived by the SEC hype machine. They squeaked by Pittsburgh, who is average in the ACC. Only beat UF, who lost to Vandy, 38-33. They had a good win against LSU. The win against Bama was good, but Bama 2022 is not Bama 2019 or whatever. They're not the machine they used to be. They trounced Kentucky, who also lost to Vandy. Their other wins were Ball State, Akron, Tennessee-Martin, and Mizzou. She they chose with.... VANDY!

In short, and in retrospect, they're definitely a good team, but not as good as we once thought. Two good wins (Bama and LSU) , two dubious wins (Florida and Pitt), and the rest average wins that they should've had anyway. And then they caught USuC on their best night in decades. And here we are.

Com on man. Any team with one or two loses this late in the season is pretty good. I m glad Tennessee lost. Gives us a better chance. I just wish it wasn't against the coots, because my Columbia friend s won't shut up.

A breakout season and big wins against good teams earlier but holes exposed late.
