but that won't stop their fans from flapping their beaks after a couple of wins over one of the Weak Sisters of the Poor on their schedule (e.g., Georgia State, Charlotte, SC Sate, Vandy, and Missouri).
Kentucky, A&M, Florida, Tennessee and Clemson are all likely losses for them.

I’d be genuinely interested to see their performance against an “at best average” team like WF…
…which is top 20 material, but completely average in every way.

Gamecocks cannot even fantasize having a WR Corp or a QB that good as Wake. Wake is anything BUT average in those two areas.
However, Gamecock's football stadium, while an outdated dump, is bigger than Wake's very fine (but small) stadium.
Gives them cooties one thing to crow about as far as being 'better' than Wake.

Nah, that UNCC team was actually average among CFB teams, so it’s understandable they’d keep it close early like that.
