It was nuts that he ever thought that. Its not like they recuit an elite level. There was nonreason for Corso to believe they could ever beat us.

Lots of eyes on the west coast is all they were appealing to with that pick! They had to make them feel like, "this would be the year"! How else do you keep an entire coast tuned in?
Corso is a company man and just did what he was told.

talks up Utah. Another such "expert" hears about it, and wanting to get ahead of the curve joins in. Then another one who wants to be able to say "I told you so, when almost nobody else thought Utah was going to be good, I called it". Before you know it, more and more talking heads predict greatness for Utah, until it becomes almost a consensus. All based on nothing. Nothing but "experts" basing opinions on the opinions of other "experts".

I too thought Utah would sneak into the CFP, because looking at their schedule, all they had to do was beat UW and they would be undefeated. I never saw Utah becoming so pathetic as I did last night. Wow. The entire Pac12 should just give up on football. That conference should NOT be considered a P5 conference. What criteria dictates that they are a P5 conference? That should be questioned. Maybe limit the CFP to the 4 OTHER P5 conferences and select the 4 conference champions to play in the CFP. This is too easy.

they lost immediately so the had to ride another Past12 team so all the wrst coast boys professed the best defensive line ever in the Utes! Well the line did great at stopping the run but any pass over 20yds was simple. I could not believe how bad their DBs sucked if they were supposed to be a top 4 team.
That said, USC has some good receivers but they would never have the same path against a LSU, Clemson, Bama, etc. Utes DBs lost that game for them, otherwise they looked pretty solid. But 2man coverage couldn't even touch the receiver before he cought the ball. Heck, if you cant cover then just tackle him for a flag and not give up 3 ridiculous TDs.

Texas A&M would win the Pac 12. Mizzou might even. Its terrible. There isnt one really good college football team west of Texas possibly.

To be fair Pac-12 isn’t much different than the ACC save Clemson. Obviously we are the entire conference.
Wake/UNC/Virginia = UW/Utah/USC just without the overhype in the poles. After that, the rest of the conference could lose any night to a FCS school such as the Citadel.
Makes you appreciate even more Clemson with all the other average teams out there.

But the ACC does have Clemson. What is the Big 12 without Oklahoma, or the Big 10 without OSU? The only conference that argument doesn’t work with is the SEC.

You think a 1 loss Utah will ever get in? I dont think so. There will be a few more 1 loss teams most likely that will be better. There are 3 open spots after us. A Pac 12 team wont be there imo.

I honestly don’t know, but when we lost to Pitt I imagine we were the laughing stock and 99.9% of people would have said a 1 loss ACC team can’t make it. That said I have 0 clue how good Utah is.

Exactly! Reminding everyone our league isn't considered good! In fact, the PAC 12 is considered better. And we have lost to Pitt and Cuse over the last 3 years in our league.
Politics is the only reason they keep picking Pac 12 teams. Oregon b/c they controlled the game versus Auburn up until seconds left will get a good long look at getting in "if they win out"! And win a few in dominating fashion. It's about TV markets and who's watching as much as it is about who runs and blocks the best. It's been years since the Pac 12 has been in it. They have to at least stir the pot and get the conversation going is all.

I agree 100% I like Corso a lot and wouldn't dig on him one bit. But, it is time for him to step off the set. I don't think they feel like they can do anything right though. Ask him to step down and they are the bad guy. Keep him and the look on all their faces tells you, they know it's time. Messed up situation.
