NIL $$ Refunds?

Anyone know what the scoop is on all these NIL players getting money & prizes and then transferring to another school...do they have to return all of their benefits to the boosters? I know that Spencer Rattler got money and a big ole truck from Oklahoma-- SCU might be able to spring for a moped and a pet possum, but IDK if the truck goes back to the dealership. TIA.

I believe NIL will end amateur athletics. It will eventually trickle down to the travel tram and the HS / Middle school teams and maybe to kids as young as 9 or 10 looking for sponsors.
It sounds funny but I thought NIL would never pass into law either. ESPN better start training staff on interviewing 10 to 12 year old kids who have their own NIL deal.
People in college should change their major to Marketing of athletes of all ages. And this is just the tip of the Iceberg. The most dangerous part is below the surface that can’t be seen. But imo it will eventually sink the ship!!!
Now I support getting rid of National Signing Day as well as athletic scholarship’s. Let the athletes earn their way through college with their NIL just like must of us parents and students either saved and paid for their education, those like me worked during school to pay my tuition or those who owe thousands of dollars in student loans.
Why should an athlete get a free ride while making approximately $100,000 a season while benefiting from the coaching, physical training and othe beneficial resources that they will have access to. These numerous resources will help to further their athletic careers, help them build a huge brotherhood of networking that will enable them to get jobs.
Many booster’s are foaming at the mouth to get involved and get their hands into their schools athletics.
The time that may be remembered as the history of “ Great American Greed” or when our country “Sold its Soul”.
The worst is yet to come! ?????? Again I hope I am totally wrong but we all know $$$$$ affects many people

That makes me think. Is there anything to prevent an NIL deal from paying for an athlete's tuition and basically give the team a free scholarship to use? Vanderbilt's endowment and tuition structure basically gives them extra scholarships, that they use effectively in baseball.
I know the impact is diminished when you are dealing with 85 scholarships, but will we see a time when we see preferred walk ons as All Americans, and a Texas A&M type school signing kids so that they don't have to play against them?

It's in his contract that when he transfers out of SCU, he has to return the moped. However, he is never allowed to part with the pet possum. It's in their holy mattress money spirit animal vows that they forever belong to each other.

I know this is meant to be funny, however it brings up a good point.
I believe most of the guys getting cars are really getting a lease that’s paid for, not owning the car free and clear. If that’s the case, the big ol’ truck would have to be given back if they portal out.
I could be wrong though as some might have been given a title…
