There's something in these hills.

If nothing else, the majority of the proceeds should

be held in an annuity while the athlete is in college and paid out only upon them meeting certain criteria. I’m also okay with an upfront advance but the annuity with parameters forces the athlete to have some skin in the game, rather than heading for the portal looking for a new deal every year.

Did McDonald's require that when you started there? You guys just don't get the fact that NIL is a right now in this nation and young men and women athletes are able to receive compensation just like everyone else.

No, as you say, McDonalds did not require me to graduate

before receiving my money.
McDonalds also did not pay for my tuition, room and board, etc

Conversely, with the GI Bill one must honor their commitment prior to receiving the benefit no?

Better yet, if my hospital agrees to help fund my education, it comes with the expectation of a commitment to them once the education is completed.

I don’t find these to be sensitive or difficult concepts.

Why is so hard for people to understand that the money isn't

Jun 29, 2022, 7:34 AM

Coming from the schools, so the schools can't say sheet about how the players use it. I too hate the recruiting enticement aspect where guys are flocking to places like Miami because a billionaire is buying talent, but the problem is the adults not the recruits. We need yo find a way to govern the people who are paying the players and how.
