If 2-4 teams leave the ACC the conference will be forced to expand and rewrite the GOR. It would not be pretty but I don’t see anyone being held to it longer than two years.

Conference til 2036. Only way out is a loophole or dissolving the conference which probably requires some supermajority not just >50%. My prediction is there may be some additional Pac-12 teams that join the BIG now and a deal is inked with Fox. ND reups with NBC to align with the ACC 2036 date. big12/Pac-12 may have some additional shifting then everything thing settles down until around 2034 which you’ll start to see the football teams announce leave the ACC for the SEC and BIG in 2036. The important thing for Clemson is to keep their brand hot for the next 10-12 years. I don’t think that should be a problem. We should also work on gaining AAU admission so that is not a deal breaker(I personally don’t think it would be for the BIG anymore) as we need to keep both options open. I’m not concerned about the $ deficit like others panic about. Most schools have proven they can’t be successful no matter how much they spend and they have way more programs to support and have to put equitable amount in womens sports also. Not to mention it is just way cheaper to get things done in Clemson than other places. I also think we have at least 100 alumni than could give 500k a year for 12 years if truly needed. Or 500 that could give $100k per year. Or 1000 that could give 50k - however you want to look at it. This would be in addition to current giving. Oh also expect the playoff to now expand- will be dominated by big and SEC but will be a couple spots for a Clemson, ND or if a FSU or Miami re-emerges. Really no different than today with 4 spots and SEC and BiG almost always locked in
