I grew up in Tacoma Washington but served in the Navy for 9 years then moved to the Clemson area to get my degree. I lived in SC for 23 years after attending Clemson but when my son left for college in 2015, I moved back to be near family. Ugh! It's literally like being in a foreign country. I was at a hotel not too far from Tacoma recently and the twenty-something guy working the desk asked me if I worked with animals. I had a paw on my shirt, my mask, and my bag. I looked at him and said "this is a Tiger paw." He just stared. I said "Clemson, look it up." Unbelievable! I really need to move back.

I have lived around over the years, but I would saying living in Washington was my least favorite.

The summer weather is the best anywhere. July 5 through September 15 you can usually expect clear skies every day, highs in the low 80's and low's at night down to 60. But, come October-rain rain rain and the grey lasts until May. Plus, now we are being overrun by anarchists! The weather is so mild, people have chosen to be homeless by the tens of thousands and REI thinks they are "helping" by giving them tents. Sheesh.
