The ACC Atlantic May be the deepest division in CFB this year

My interesting stat - To date the combined record of teams in the Atlantic is 26 - 9… of the 9 losses 7 are to other Atlantic teams and those are unavoidable, 1 was to the coastal, and 1, that’s right 1, out of conference
IMHO that’s some solid competition against teams that know how to win and that’ll test us. Also it gives me hope that even if we drop one we’ll still have a playoff worthy resume.

The Big10 East is pretty good too with a 27-8 combined record. They have 3 teams that are 5-0 and 1 that is 4-1. You are spot on that the ACC continues to look better which is good for us but I still don't think we can afford a loss.

Solid point… would love to see a football version of ACC - Big Ten Challenge to see how that’d play out

OP - good call out.
The Big 10 east wll feast on a very weak big 10 west. Duke, Syracuse have wins against Big 10 west opponents(Purdue and Northwestern).
It's going to be interesting! The covid-19 year and super senior thing has really helped some teams with a plethora of 4 an 5 year players.
The QB play is very good this season. Leary, Hartman, Mayes, Slovis, Shrader, Leonard(Duke), Jurcevic and Armstrong are really good QB's.
Having a QB that knows how to get the ball to play makers gives you a punchers chance in any game as long as your defense can keep it close enough.

As you look at the standings and look at the points for and points against columns; remember you have to look at the opponents these teams have played(Wagner). Syracuse for example, has given up the least number of points so far.
It does appear BC is struggling on offense though. I wouldn't call their schedule gauntlet like.

I saw that stat on Cuse earlier and it’s good point as yesterday they hung 59 on Wagner and a few weeks ago they beat UConn 48-14… go back a year or two and I’m not sure the Orange boat race those schools
That’s said, I think it backs up my statement since Atlantic teams are handily beating the teams they’re supposed to beat and very competitive in their tough OOC games (FSU vs LSU, Cuse vs Purdue, NCSU vs Texas Tech)… These teams know how to win and that iron sharpens iron mentality is good for the Tigers!

I'll give you Texas Tech, Purdue and LSwho. Wagner and Uconn would probably get boat raced by SC State(just kidding).
But, I get your point. It's a very good one.
On a side note: things like Wagner and Uconn is why I never liked computers; because the computer would put that in the algorithm not knowing Wagner is(where are they even from). Uconn is a shell of itself.
Syracuse did impress me with the win against Purdue though.

In order to get in if we drop one is for the SEC to have only one team that's undefeated or 1 loss champion and the other conference teams to have 2+ losses. Sadly that's a fact of life we have to live with.
