Not trying to agree with T3 here, and I don't think it's a conspiracy, but 55 years is an absurd response to all of this. The FBI and CDC pore through far more data than this every year and have it ready and up on their website in a reasonable amount of time for the whole public. This seems like base incompetency on their part if they think it will take that long.

requests. Heck, they're lucky they got a timeline at all, rather than some non-explained rejection of the request. Could it be done faster? Absolutely. Is there a public interest in expediting the request? Absolutely. But OP is not the first Q-adjacent crank to suggest the response as indicative of them trying to intentionally hide vaccine data because "they don't want us to know."

And shouldn't be in this case. They could potentially argue a complete exemption over trade secrets, but it doesn't seem they're even attempting that.

FOIA requests are routinely rejected without explanation, and when one is given, many times it is for completely trivial clerical errors. Or, it comes with an astronomical fee for document preparation. So, a 55-year timeline to produce 300,000 pages is well within a normal, expected response to a FOIA request.

And since some contain proprietary information, which all republicans agree is essential to retain patents and trade rights on drugs for the pharma industry to increase profits, then it makes sense. Until it applies to a vaccine anyway. Cholesterol pills, ######, keep those private.
There are dozens of countries using our vaccines. Go there and read their studies.
