Life is too short

to not do what you truly enjoy and not spend time with your family. I don't know BV or what he's made of but I certainly get being really happy where you are. I used to want to be a CEO and then I got one level down and discovered I liked my job a lot more than his and I got to see more of my family. I'm not rich but I get to enjoy what I have.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve had jobs that have eaten my soul. And my job now is a perfect balance of work life. Some people understand the value of not screwing that balance up.

I have actual experience as to this.
I started work at age 15 as a soda jerk putting in 33 hours a week. I was blessed, it was a good job with good people. I brought home $21 a week, got every other Sunday off.

Since then have had many jobs and endless part time jobs to make ends meet. I lucked into a main job that did not pay much but was perfect for me. It was right for me.

I retired at 55. I don't have or have need of much. I love retirement, much better than any job I ever had.
