speaking of bad basketball teams

Who was that 7 to 7'1 ft white dude, I think late Shyatt or early Purnell, that always got his shots blocked? Craziest thing i ever saw.

I swear pg's were blocking his shots.

Let's take a little stroll down memory lane.

Frank was from Chicago and was friends with one of my roommates, who we affectionately called "Chicago", on account of him also being from Chicago. So Frank would call Matt on our landline in Calhoun Courts in 1993, and he'd wander over. Duck his head to get through our door, since he was 7' and all. Frank would get bored very quickly, and be like "you guys want to go over to the highrises and pick up girls?" I don't think this ever struck any of us as a particularly good idea, so we always left him to it, but several of us happened to walk past and briefly observe what he meant by this turn of phrase. He would lean against the rail outside of all-female Lever or Byrnes, and literally whistle and catcall every girl or group of girls walking in our out, construction-worker-style.

I guess the old saying, "if you ask 100 girls to #### and 99 of them say no, it's a good night" is true. It just requires exactly zero sense of shame or embarrassment to do all that askin'.

Well being 7' tall aids in that. You'd think some girls

would hop on, just for the novelty. Where as this doesn't work as well on a guy who is 5'11" like me
