Let's look at the positives to come if this trend continues:

Let's prepare ourselves for Dabo retaining TE and staff, and look at the bright side of this potential situation:
1) You'll again be able to park in Lot 1 or 2 for an IPTAY donation that's less than the price of a new BMW.
2) You can once again pick up an extra ticket at kickoff from the "need tickets" guys for $15.
3) Half the HS Senior population of New Jersey won't apply to Clemson every year.
4) D Rad will have to pay a little attention to our basketball program.
5) You can show up 30 minutes before the end of fan day and get every player's autograph.
6) Tom Winkopp might have to go ruin a different college town with his crappy developments.

honestly, I find Clemson football far more exciting than ever before. It got kind of old going into every game knowing that it was going to be a blowout, the only consolation being that we got to see the underclassmen play. But being that Mafah will never sniff the field unless, Pace, Shipley, Dukes and Rencher all get injured on the same play, that perk is lost on me this season, But still, the games will be far more intriguing, and every win will taste that much better.

In the car world, there's a saying that it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. It's why, in average traffic, a Miata is probably a more fun drive than a Lamborghini Aventador.
Same thing with our football teams. It was fun watching our old 6/10 talent teams play better teams at 10/10 of their ability. It was also fun watching our 10/10 talent teams play at 10/10 of their ability. It's not fun watching a 9/10 talent team play at 4/10 ability.

this sounds more like something tote1 would understand. I will say that being higher off the ground has caused me to speed more than usual.

I am not a lip-reading expert, but when the trainer tested his knee, he mouthed the words, "you are OK" This could just be me being overly optimistic, but Shipley's body language did not suggest he had received bad news. Like Bresee, it appears to be a bad sprain, and I hope that is it.

Also, being able to sit in my old seats that IPTAY screwed me out of after halftime since most people will have left (flashback to the Tommy West days).

This is why Cliff Ellis was the best Clemson Bball coach of all time. He loaded the roster with talent, then proceeded to stink it up. I got to walk into little john, sit wherever I wanted, and watch Christian Laettner and Sharone Wright go toe to toe from 30 feet. That was an amazing experience.

You should have gone to the games in 89-90.

Watching Dale Davis and Elden Campbell punk Laettner was pure magic, and Littlejohn was the best I've ever seen it when we beat Duke to clinch the regular season ACC championship. Cliff put it all together that year, and if not for that @#@#$@#$ BS after-the-buzzer Tate George shot, we're in the final four.

I showed up late to the party but watching Lou Richie slap the floor against Duke, ala Bobby Hurley, was worth the free price of admission.

I got so sick of hearing the shot was off before the buzzer. That happens when the clock operator had been sleeping on the rebound from the free throw and the final shot. If the clock would have started on time, we would have been cutting the nets down by the time the shot went in.
