If Dabo's halftime speech last...

week turns out to be the spark that carries us on to win the ACC and make the playoffs, then sometime in late Feb or early March we will all be posting laments about why he did not just fire Brownell in that same halftime.

about the team’s lackluster performance against Furman, and how he would put the fear of God in everyone and we would take it out on Louisiana Tech.
Therefore, I’m surprised that we played so poorly in the first half against the Lady Techsters and requires a fiery halftime speech by Dabo.

Pretty sure fiery halftime speeches only work in the movies. I know in HS the only speeches we got at halftime were getting yelled at for missing a block/assignment/etc. You take the few minutes to cool off a little, half way listen to what the coaches are saying, and then you get right back out there. Unless they are changing the way to attack something - i.e. reminding you to watch for the screen pass and don't overpersue, then the halftime speech is completely meaningless.

Dabo called out the Defense after the Furman game for a lack of intensity. We gave up 6 points in the first half to La Tech's air raid offense, even with missing a number of starters, especially in the secondary.

I guess you just ignore the facts that for over 2 weeks now the team has been dealing with more than just football. Idk if Bryan even played against furman. But that has to take some type of toll. We had 4 starters out on defense last Saturday. That game would have been a bigger blowout if it wasn’t for a blocked field goal which carter fumbled. We should have had the ball around midfield instead of letting a drive continue. But hey just keep being you.
