Lawrence Taylor/UNC on The Hill

Many years ago LT was interviewed and asked "Have you ever been intimidated in your dominant football career?" He reflected for a moment and replied something to the effect of "Well, maybe once. I remember being a freshman and the Clemson Tigers ran down that hill."

It was 1978. Tigers and Steve Fuller were very good that year. Beat UNC 13-9. Went 11-1. Charlie Pell left for Florida, and Danny Ford beat Woody & the Buckeyes to start his career 1-0. There's only one Hill! Edit: Love we are maintaining this great tradition with the famous Brent Musburger line “THE MOST EXCITING 25 SECONDS IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL” in place.

The Hill introduction WILL CONTINUE!! The center tunnel with replace the side tunnel for player only as it is closer to the dressing room and leaves more space for the band etc. STOP THE WORRYING!!

Lawrence is “Mis-Remembering” as he was a Sophmore

In 1978. I watched him play several Snaps as a True Frosh in 1977 at a game in Chapel Hole!
