Last night watched special on 87 yr old Loretta Lynn & was so impressed with her song writing.

She was hailed as the Hank Williams female version of country song writing.

For her songs She used the frustrations caused by her husband's (Doo for Doolittle) drinking & womanizing.

She had a greyhound type bus & was on the road Thurs-Mon for 200-250 days a year, for 20 yrs, doing 2-3 shows a day.. and the bus had up to two million miles on it according to bus driver.

Recent years she's had a Prevost luxury motor coach that's off-white with a round logo in gold with a coal miner with pick image which stands for "A Coal Miners Daughter".

Her Son Jack drowned at age 34 when he & his horse were swept under at a stream on their huge farm..while other Son Earl Ray sang with her on the road around age 12.

She's never changed & works hard each day and has a huge property in Tn that has museums, an open theatre, tours, a rv park & cabins for fans, allows tours of her home, gift shop, etc

What a Lady!

"Coal Miner's Daughter" was a song, a movie and a book. All three wildly successful ventures. Indeed, quite the woman.

I always get her confused with Linda Lovelace. Both had very talented vocal chords

He said she was the nicest person. Brought them iced tea and talked with them a while. Very down to earth.
