Lamecocks and Palmetto Bowl trophy

It is regretful that many lamecocks are now suggesting the Palmetto Bowl be cancelled. This morning, I had an epiphany as to the optimal solution for the lugubrious lamecocks. Just as in elementary school when all the loser teams get "participation trophies," perhaps the lamenting lamecocks could get a scaled down version of the real Palmetto Bowl trophy. This year's trophy could even have all 72 of the years engraved when they participated only to come in second place. What say you?
