some dope on twitter snips a piece of the clip..raises a stink..scholarship is pulled..if he was a metal head he wouldnt have to worry about singing that word to a song he is listening to.

were black, not a second thought would have been given to the video! That language should be treated just as harshly, regardless of the race of the person saying it!

This has been my problem with this entire movement. If a word is offensive to one race, it should be offensive to that race regardless of the race of the person who uses it. Until this becomes the standard, I refuse, as a member of the "human race" to accept that standard. It is quite ridiculous and reminds me of just how absurd all of these politically correct contraints actually are. Our first amendment rights usurp all of these out of bounds restraints. I can say the "n" word" if I so choose and you can't do a #### thing about it, unless you own a private business and you so choose to "break" the first amendment to the US Constitution. Then, we will see each other in court.
My point being, if the "n" word is that offensive to the African American Community, stop the African American Community from using it!

Just heard this on the radio in Jax, no context, just that the scholarship was pulled for using a racial slur. Didn't mention he was singing to a song at all.
Sad world we live in. The word should not be used in any setting if it's that serious, entertainment/music or not

Beat your girlfriend, sell drugs, get stopped by the cops with an illegal gun. Kid deserves a second chance. Make a poor choice and allow yourself to be recorded singing along to a song and you become a social pariah. What is the world coming to?

to pull that offer.
They thought they missed on their #1 target earlier this year and took this kid as a fallback. Meanwhile, their first choice decommitted (from Penn State I believe) and told Florida he wanted to come there after all. They only wanted one QB in this class so they found a reason and yanked the offer.

I thought holding people account was important? but again when it comes to down to things like this:
1. They just wanted a reason to pull his scholarship
2. Whoever leaked it should be in trouble
3. if white people can’t say it nobody should

This is ridiculous. If the word is in the rap song then it’s alright for him to repeat it while “singing”/talking the words to the song. Effing crazy is what this is. Tiger smith is correct. I read that a QB committed to Florida who had de-committed from another school and I don’t remember it being this same player whose offer was pulled. I thought the same thing tiger smith said when I read that article

However that particular race is the race that wants everyone to be “equal”. Well equal would mean, that whole kid has the same right to sing the lyrics to a song that any black kid has the rights to sing. It’s a double standard.
