the no alcohol policies. We know someone who owns a Wild Dunes condo, and they got on them about it. Like what? Why would I own a beach place on a beach where I cannot drink a beer? Is this Saudi Arabia?
It kills me, because I have become obsessed with salt water boating. But I don't really want to haul the boat 10 hours to Florida, and can't get anyone in my family on board with going anywhere around Charleston because of the no alcohol policies.

At one time, I thought you'd only be bothered if you were causing a scene. Well, one day a group beside us was dumb enough to have a bottle of whiskey just sitting out for the world to see. Cop type person rode right past us and out solo cups full of beer to give those folks a ticket. They were not doing anything to draw attention, just had the bottle out.

in the late 1990's in Lot 5. Then, after the game, they'd always go by and stock us up with a few cases of beet until the next game.
Weed, sex, and fights/public drunkenness. That's what they need to prosecute. Kids drinking at tailgates without being wordy, drunk, or bothering anyone is stupid. Saw a totally sober girl busted with her parents at a tailgate. Just stupid.

inaccessible by land and have all the fun you want. Capers, Privateer, Deveaux Bank etc
Even these are getting taken over but there are still some where you can find some privacy or at least a somewhat more mellow crowd compared to the beach or Morris.

Or I may just go by myself one day, I dunno. I'm going to join a "Guys who have lazy spouses but like boats" support group or something.
Problem is with the rest of the family. We've got a bunch of females who are accustomed to us loading up the truck and driving directly onto the beach, and unloading all of their things right where they're going to sit. Any additional work (getting on boat, getting out of boat) for them is met with resistance.

asked to pour stuff out at the beach. My issue with Folly lies in that they went all knee jerk after some 4th of July incident and changed their rules. Since I found this to be silly, I elected to quit going out there.
