KB at next level

Jan 31, 2018, 2:48 AM

I dont see KB play QB at the next level.

If he does get drafted what position do you see him at? TE? HB? S?

He probably won’t get drafted. Possibly a situation like Ben Boulware had with panthers if anything. He doesn’t know enough about any other positions. Haven’t seen nfl draft athletes.... only players trained and skilled at said positions.

The NFL does draft College QBs as WRs

Matt Jones from Arkansas and Terrell Pryor from Ohio State are a couple examples. And Tebow could definitely be signed as a fullback or tight end if he was willing.

Would love a HJ/TL QB at the helm , but I trust our coaches

And their evaluation. They will put us in the best position to win.

Let's see what he does this coming season.

Jan 31, 2018, 8:18 AM

As a first-year starter he went 12-2 and won the ACC title. He only lost one game he finished and it wasn't his fault Cain dropped that pass early that could have changed things.

I bet he improves his passing this season. He has better size than anyone else in our stable of QBs. HJ and TLaw both still need to grow and put some meat on their bones.

KB may get a shot at the NFL.

Funny how the same thing was said about DW4..He really didn't put on size until his last yr. TL is ready to be a starting qb in college. I'd be willing to bet TL could've started last yr for us and put up better numbers than KB. That being said, I love KB and have no problem with him being our starter, but he's not the best qb on the team.

The Cain drop isn't what lost us that game and wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game

KB 6'4 220 according to clemsontigers.com

Trevor Lawrence -

6'6 208 -247
6'6 209 - ESPN

Season doesn't start for 9 months a lot of time just to gain 10 pounds no need to be any bigger then 220 for Trevor.

Great note about his 12-2 as a starter, because it has nothing to do with us having the best defense in the country, best running back committee in the country, and some of the most elite receivers... He still averaged less than 1 TD pass a game as a starting QB.. Yes we won but no it wasn't because he played well as a QB it was because we were such a well balanced team everywhere else, just like Jalen Hurts is at Alabama.

Best running back committee in the nation?? Lutz.

KB was our best offensive weapon last year.

Well unfortunately for him, his teams record in college will have absolutely nothing to do with his draft stock. His ability to play the qb position is will be all that matters, and him completing passes less than 10 yards all game aren’t going to help him much. He could have a 90% completion rate and nfl gm’s won’t give him the time of day, unless he learns to read a defense and throw the ball down the field. And even if he does improve dramatically in those areas, he will have to greatly improve his arm strength.

The question about KB concerning quarterback is, is he as good as he's going to get?

I suspect he might not be. He's improved a ton every year and when he arrived, three years ago, he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn as a passer. He's always been a great athlete but while we did simplify things for him, he still hit 65% of his passes this year; he just wasn't great on the longer stuff.

If he continues to improve at the rate at which he improved all three years prior, I don't think anybody - even Trevor Lawrence - catches him.

If he doesn't improve, he'll probably get caught. I dunno if he gets a look at the next level at any other position unless he makes the jump to safety, like, right now.

I don't see him having a career at the next level.*****
