The PGA Tour has suspended the 17 members who are competing in the inaugural LIV Golf event, announcing the punishment in a memo to players Thursday, a copy of which was obtained by ESPN.
Players who resigned their membership before starting the LIV Golf event being held outside London starting Thursday are also no longer eligible to compete in tour events or the Presidents Cup.

Without Tiger, interest was going down. There are very few golfers with any personality to make it interesting. Now there's much less.
The PGA will have no way but to except them back for events imo.

How many of the 17 that left are ranked in the top 30? A couple? None in the current top 10. I'm not sure I'm ready to agree that the top talent is being lost here.

Thomas - boring but doesnt distract either. he's alright
McIlroy- used to be intriguing, but now a wallflower
Scheffler - who? dudes won and no one can pick him out of a lineup
Rahm - at least he's got some fight in him
Morikawa? - ya no
Speith - oh lord, i think he annoys more than he attracts.
Koepka and Zaloris are intriguing.
we'll see how it goes. but pga losing the interesting golfers is not gonna be good for them.
either LIV will fall apart quickly or the pga will have to eat crow and invite this dudes back.
also, i suspect more big names will leave the pga in the coming weeks.
