just noticed something...

Apr 24, 2012, 6:08 PM

Allen and Bowers left early since they were projected as first round draft picks only to plummet down the draft board. while CJ Spiller stayed for his senior year and we all know how that worked out. What im getting at is that it seams clemson players seam to go higher if they stay. cough cough sammy...

I'd hope the coaches would say,

Apr 24, 2012, 6:29 PM

"Sammy, we'd love to have you back, but go make some money, come back and graduate in 10 years, and build us a brand new 'Sammy Watkins _____ Center' or whatever we need down the road."

How about DeAndre McDaniel?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Guy's a 2nd round pick if he leaves early

Sucks to see such a talented player struggle.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Nope, he would have still had issues with his range...***

Not my words...

Apr 24, 2012, 10:39 PM

...I remember seeing him projected there by some folks. And that was a VERY deep safety class, so even if it was off, that doesn't mean he wasn't talented.

Idk. Thought for sure he'd be fine in the NFL. Guess not, though.

His chances of getting drafted as a Jr or Sr would have died

Apr 24, 2012, 10:43 PM

on the same 40 yard stretch of turf in Indy...He simply could not cover enough field to be a FS in the League...

Hmmm...could have sworn he would have gone out as a SS, considering he's a former LB who weighed 215 lbs most of his career.

It's neither here nor there. He's struggling to make it in the league, so where he would have gone as a junior doesn't really matter.

Touche.

I dont understand why allen has fell...I understand the concern for bowers knee....if his 40 time is hurting him thats a joke...just put the film on and watch him play

2nd round for a TE is

pretty durn god.

I just think his 40-time took him out of the discussions of "elite." I don't think anyone doubts his ability.

I don't agree with it. I think he'll be a great player. But most of your big 1st rounders have the ridiculous measurables in addition to college production.

The problem with DA is that they DID put in the tape...

Bowers would have been the #1 overall pick had he not had an untimely knee injury during the summer of the draft.

year, he's a millionaire. He stayed, got hurt, and is struggling to get on someone's practice squad now.

Bowers got hurt. I guess Allen is dropping due to his speed...that would have come out in next year's combine as well.

I like it when they stay - I can't blame them when they go though.
