1) Don't understand the razor thin margin b/n players that are ranked top 100 vs top 300. or Top 300 vs top 500.

2) Don't understand the impact of a few key losses in personal.

3) Don't understand how a few career ending injuries and/or 1-2 transfers can derail a plan to have quality players and depth 1-3 years down the road.

4) Don't understand how hard it is to win.


It's not as simple as looking at a recruiting class and saying "we have a better class" so we're good enough to win.

That's exactly the kind of thinking Saban ranted about. Expecting anything, regardless of name, recruiting classes, what you did last year, last week or what the other team did last year or last week.

its not entitlement to expect your team that recruits at a high level to beat teams that recruit no where near the level you recruit at...and quit blaming injuries we were playing like dookie before the injuries took over..calling people who expect actually best to be the standard is deflection

Except it’s all accurate. If you’re disappointed and angry with an outcome due to 18-21 year old kids, that’s on you and your issues as an entitled fan who doesn’t understand that they are playing FOR YOUR PRIDE AND ENJOYMENT. It’s entertainment. Get over yourself.

You have no concept of reality.

Upsets happen, injuries happen. Transfers happen. And many of those things have large impacts on the outcome of games. Admitting that doesn't make you "weak" or less of a man. Further, staunchly sticking to your guns on some ideology that recruiting is everything is mind boggling.

Most of all, the fact that you put so much stock into recruiting rankings and believe recruiting rankings are accurate is the craziest thing to me.
