Just got home to SAV, watched condensed version of game..

and it played out the same as when I watched it on TV at 3 different viewing venues @ HHI..

but with all the chatter & noise I probably missed 20% of it.

So, seems both teams were pretty even overall..both went at it with zeal..Clemson took off with great momentum but Coots caught up in 3rd & mid 4th went ahead with FG.

Differences & consequently the slim 1 point winning margin to me were: Coots had better punting (3 within 5 yd line), better QB play (steadier & more effective), better passing attach with good hustle by blockers down field after the catch, and maybe more balanced play calling.

Their running attach was not good (to my eyes) but enough to get the job done.

Oh, they were aggressive and never gave up when down by 14 & 9 points.

Clemson's main negative was in QB inconsistency and TO's at critical stages.

In the end both team's competitive play was virtually equal thus the 1 point difference and for entertainment & excitement value I'd rate game a solid B++.

I like your critique. But you missed the three turnovers by Clemson and only two by Gamecocks.

We shouldn’t even be close to even with the coots, not with the talent we have. And their “run game” was abysmal by the way.

It was coaching.

But apparently we can’t criticize a man making $11 million to coach because he may just up and leave?

With 11 minutes to go it's 31-to 30. Plenty of time. Took a few minutes of the clock then threw an int.

They take a few minutes off the clock. The d holds. They put we fumble.

I watch a lot of football. I still shocked they won with special teams play. The go ahead FG, punts and punt coverage. I guess you have to respect that.

I didn't see that coming.
