Just caught end of ‘14 BCS Championship - FSU over Auburn

Had forgotten how crazy the end of that game was. Then, watching the FSU players and fans celebrating - what a high they were on - and to think what a dumpster fire they are today, as compared to us sitting on top of the college football world!

Seems like it was so much longer than just 6 years ago.

I believe it was 1:07 left in the 1st qtr. Brent Mussberger makes the comment to Herbstreit about "nothing they have seen in the ACC has prepared them for this SEC speed"!

Crazy! That Kick return for a TD showed some SEC speed getting left in the dang dust!

Brent and Herbstreit actually were very "pro-SEC" during the broadcast! Talking up speed difference! Talking up "what Auburn faced compared to FSU"! Which is just a put down for every ACC opponent they faced including Clemson.

We see how all that foreshadowing turned out! Had you looked at how well FSU had recruited one would have known footspeed and talent wasn't ever going to be an issue. At some point, you have to out execute a team and not just out - athlete them!

You are correct about FSU.

Jimbo is a lot like Urban Meyer. He can be a "great" coach for a short period of time. But, he does not have the ability (I'll let others decide what his specific short comings are. I have given my thoughts previously.) to sustain long term success.
