We had big John Simpson in for an interview and he was asked about the success Clemson has had running the football. Simpson said with Trevor Lawrence at QB defenses have to play a little different and it opens up the running lanes.

Good for him. He speaks the truth. When you have a "Cannon" in the quarterback spot it opens up the whole play book. Big Bad John took no credit. I love this team.
That other QB we had, can't remember the name, but he held us back as too the whole play book.

Pretty much what anyone with a half clue about offensive football knew even when they were trying to trot KB out there. Defenses (like Alabama last year) had no reason to fear the pass with KB and it would show against any good defensive team

Just watched TL and TNT highlights of the Wake game and noticed how many screens we ran. At the time I was not pleased with so many screens, but watching the way the DBs reacted to the screens was informative. TL gets those screen passes out so quick that the DBs have to cheat over. Then, when watching the TNT highlights, you can see how open the second level was for him.
With KB, the DBs feared his running, so they cheated in. With TL they cheat out which opens up the run. So we are a better running team when we don't have a running quarterback. Not TL can't run, but we don't need to do so so as much.

it is blatantly in support of TL. I am not in favor of bashing players that are not on the team,but I definitely like reading comments from current players that are All In for the team’s starting QB
