John Sekata Retires

Surprised to learn of this at last night men's basketball game. Wonder of Sekata will be the first of several due to the change in leadership within the athletic department.

Heard back during the summer they took the music selection responsibility away from him prior to this football season. Kinda explains why all of the sudden you heard lame wedding reception stuff like "You make me want to Shout" during the games year. I like Sekatas's selection of hip hop and classic rock. Too bad. His choices were more aggressive and tougher. This years, seemed more lighter and cheeseball.

is all about having the time in to qualify to retire, and looking for opportunities back home, which I believe is Illinois.

John said this to me well before the new AD was announced.
