Was just discussing this with a friend the other day. It seems that more and more commentators have bought into the ‘more is best’ mentality.

Kudos to them - and more likely their producers - for doing the homework; but it was only entertaining when Cliff Clavin played the role on Cheers.

I typically watch most sporting events with the volume down until replays, reviews, etc.

hear themselves WAY more than the interviewee . . . they go on and on with back story & filler & then get to the question - which COULD be answered with a yes or no the majority of times, it seems.
