Happy birthday to the premier of THE TERMINATOR in 1984.
Sylvester Stallone turned down the lead role which only required speaking less than 100 words in 14 lines. Mel Gibson also turned it down, as did Tom Selleck and Michael Douglas.
The very well known personality, commercial actor, spokesman and part-time movie actor James Cameron wanted was someone else though.
But he was viewed as far too likeable to be a convincing killer, much less as murder machine with a body count of 39 by movie's end.
Who was this very famous personality who never got a shot at being a terminator?
