Basketball game tonight

Nov 24, 2013, 8:31 AM

Making the drive down from Myrtle Beach tonight.

Where's a good place to grab a bite before the game?

What time should I get there to get right behind the bench?

What kind of food you looking for?

About 5-10 spot on places right near venue.

You do understand the game is in downtown Charleston?

Seriously, you may be looking at bar grub other than Jim n Nicks... King Street Grille (www.thekingstreetgrille.net ), Boone's (Boonesbar.com), Mellow Mushroom, etc. - but Burns Alley should be filled with hoops fans from all schools in tourney (good grub but get there early though if you are in a hurry to get to the arena by 8:00 to sit behind bench)...

Jim n Nicks BBQ on King used to be a big pre-game spot

for College o' Knowledge Cu-gah fans in years past (It used to be an Irish pub called Mike Calder's when I used to haunt the unHoly City... So my info could be a little outdated ). There is also a great basketball-oriented pub called Burns Alley which interestingly enough is on Burns Alley between King and Meeting less than 50 steps from the arena.
