Jayron Kearse

Jan 5, 2014, 9:16 PM

I would love to see move weak side LB, he is a little too risky for me at safety. His natural ability is tremendous. With a full year of strength program GE should be able to put on some good muscle weight.

Him Anthony and Tony steward will be fine at the LB position. We also have the transfer from Oklahoma. I would panic about or D, biggest worry is gonna be with the QB play. I for one am extremely pleased with venables performance and improvement!

Go Tigers and S u c Kk it coot!

I'm pretty sure I'm in disagreement with you on all counts.***

Hopefully he learns our system and coverage schemes better in the offseason - was out of position and got burned multiple times in the bowl. Great athletic potential though.

I agree, too many blown coverages for safety. He needs to hit the weight room hard and move to LB. Coach's have already stated this was probably the plan for him. Defense will still be good, maybe better, Coach V is doing a great job!

IMO,he'd make a great TE...great hands and runs very well

Jan 5, 2014, 9:25 PM

with the ball in his hands.

Seckinger and Leggett have TE taken care of for next couple

I think Kearse is fine there even with the missed assignments, remember he is a freshman and those things will be minimized as he matures, I love the way he hits and I think he's got outstanding ball skills back there. I hope they keep him there along with Blanks and they will be a force to be reckoned with!

He was lost on the wheel route!

Jan 5, 2014, 9:24 PM

Totally lost, less of a risk at LB.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

because he is only a true frosh and is running

Jan 5, 2014, 9:27 PM

out of time to learn?

cut the kid some slack, he's a ####### 6'4", 215lb freak playing fs.

Who is the transfer from Oklahoma? Is he solid?

Spud

Jan 5, 2014, 9:27 PM

So you disagree with me about moving Kearse. You also disagree that Steward, Anthony, and Oklahoma transfer won't be able to hold their own at LB. Also I mentioned Venebles has made improvements to our D. In your words "you disagree on all counts". Really?

Is a freshman, and one of the best players on the team. Could be the best safety at Clemson since B. Dawkins

The mistakes he made can be corrected. Wouldn't worry.***

Don't forget

Jan 5, 2014, 9:52 PM

BOULWARE. Gonna be a beast!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'd rather have him hit the play book, not the weight room..

Jan 5, 2014, 9:55 PM

Kearse has tremendous skills and instincts at safety. If he isn't scared of the position after that game, if he puts the work in to master the schemes, he could be a special player.

Like most of us, there are growing pains on the way ... anyone remember how CJ Spiller used to dance at the line as a freshman?
