$150 later. Fokker was balled up inside credenza behind an old printer and stack of folders. He struck at the critter guy a couple of times but his reflexes were good and he grabbed snek by the tail on 3rd try. Turns out he's a young one about 4 feet long max. Wifey happy so all good. Now off to Home Depot to buy some foam to seal up holes critter guy pointed out.

I applaud your wise and caring decision to place the happiness of your wife above any financial incumbrance you may have incurred. I am thankful for the rapid response of the pest specialists and his skill in remedying the problem. May the snake not cross your doorstep but live the rest of his life ridding your surroundings of other pests as God intended.

Had 2 boa constrictors when I was a kid, both over 6 feet, so no big fear of snakes, but wasn't down with sticking my hand and arm into a dark place grabbing a skeert snake. 150 was painful, but I've already accepted that and moved on.

I would have grabbed some yard gloves and ransacked the house like a burguler for fiddy straight. Caught one of those in my back yard a month ago. Was a good foot or two longer. FAST snek. Let the boys hold it and play with it. Wife was nonplussed. Tossed him over the fence so he could hang out with the copperheads by the creek.
