Got in trouble at Goodwill

Was dropping off some things yesterday in the big boxes outside
Someone had placed a stack of vinyl on the top of the stack
I started to take a look and go through them
“You can’t do that!!!” Attendant
“Oh, I just want to see what’s here, I won’t take anything and would possibly buy inside if I found something”
“You still can’t do that!!”
I grab another bag out of the van and when I turn around he’s moved the stack to the next box over, still on top and just as easy to reach 5 ft away. I considered effing with him and looking again
TL;DR—don’t poke around in the donation receptacles at Goodwill
