I’ve read Clemson articles where Shipley is the fastest

Player on our team. I’v Also witnessed Shipley caught from behind by teams like Ga Tech, La tech, even Furman. We need to recruit more elite speed across the entire team. It would help our offensive woes simply by hitting a home runs when our plays actually do work properly.

Agree with you.

Shipley is a fine RB as far as carrying the FB. RB's don't have to be CJ Spiller or T.Etiene fast to be effective and 'winners.'

Wayne Gallman comes to mind, as does James Davis.

But Shipley doesn't appear to have elite speed, so I'm puzzled by those 'fastest guy on the team' statements.

in the past (Spiller, Watkins, Ford, Currie) for sure. Id be willing to bet if you lined up Barrett Carter and Shipley for a race? Youd be surprised at the outcome.

Let's see, the coaches have been beat up this morning along with
individual players as well as the off: line, Def: line the rec's
etc. I believe most has left out the Band. I guess folks are just
taking this more serious than what it is. Just vent until you get
it all out.

We all love Shipley dearly. The only reason his name is mentioned is because he’s the standard for our best team speed (yet on film he gets run down often by lesser teams). We gotta recruit more speed to have a explosive offense.
