The fact that we're pushing for Zanders to commit is absolutely blowing my mind.

1. He does not hold a single offer from UNC, NC State, Wake, or Duke.
2. It's been widely reported that teams don't know if he can play either corner or safety
3. His tape is not that bad at all but there is nothing that stands out
4. We are pushing for a player that is probably the most worthy "slow-play" candidate I've seen in a while due to the fact that he loves Clemson and has very few other options
5. Safety is arguably our biggest need and we need talent there in a BIG way
5. If this was January or Feb it would be a different story but we are pushing for a commit from this guy in APRIL. Think about that. We are actively pursuing a safety that none of his instate schools want, all of whom recruit lower-level players than us.

This is not intended to be an attack on Zanders, more so questioning what in the world our staff is thinking here. (Keep in mind we haven't signed a true safety in 2 years so the track record for safety recruiting has been very subpar to all other positions.

Remember already have Joseph Charleston committed at safety, he's gonna be a good one so I wouldn't worry.

If the coaches want this guy to commit then there is a reason for it.

McMicheal might play Safety at Clemson .
How are we " pushing " exactly ... I see it as he is interested and so are we . Pushing seems a bit of an exaggeration.

It's not that we're pushing as in "pressuring", it's just that Dabo and others have repeatedly told him how much they want him and that they really like him (pretty much he has a committable offer). Just saying what they would to any 4star or what have you

If Pruitt wants him badly then I have no doubt he can play. Pruitt knows a thing or two about db's.

Luckily we've got 6 db takes for this class lol. Apparently before last year Zanders was only 5'9" and had a growth spurt that put him over 6'. Would be awesome if he had a few more inches to go. I trust the staff when it comes down to it.
