Does Brad get a lifetime contract? I would be voting yes. This is a situation I could absolutely see happening this year, so I bring up the point so that it has been discussed beforehand. Let's go on record and take sides now, so nobody is accused of flip flopping after we win the big one. When Brad cuts down the nets, are we preparing a lifetime contract for him to sign at the championship parade? Discuss below, and try to keep it civil.

no, I don't like lifetime contracts for coaches. That's pretty dumb from Clemson's perspective, regardless of the sport or the coach.

The likelihood of that happening is so remote, you could completely agree and there would be virtually no risk of ever having to do follow thorough.
I'm not sure Clemson, or a lot of other teams, could beat Illinois or Gonzaga playing 6 against 5.

If Clemson wins the NCAA Tournament, I think Brad should get a 5 year extension and be paid in the top two or three coaches in the ACC. Plus he should get significant raises for his staff, putting them in the top 5 for their position in the ACC. And should get any improvements he wants to Littlejohn and their training facility.

In all seriousness, I was half joking and half just trying to imagine what it would be like. The reaction from fans/administration would be wild and would have to include a massive extension, so I was part-genuinely curious how far some people would want to take it. The only certainty is that this board would explode

I realize the Purnell era ended on a sour note but those teams with James Mays, Stitt, Book, Cliff Hammonds, Stitt, Oglesby, Babalola etc. were so much fun to watch. I'm thankful to have been a student during that era.
