For years I prayed I'd live to see our second. I'm thinking I should have asked for five, maybe six.

Made the same Faustian bargain myself figuring it would never happen. I went so far as to say either on here or another site that winning it 81 was the worst thing that could have happened to us. Given all the negatives- small remote town, small state, academic standards, we probably didn't play the second best team in 81 anyway, never find another Danny Ford etc. etc- all that 81 title did was give us irrational expectations that kept us from enjoying the game.

I was good with the Dabo hire from the get-go but never thought he'd pull this off. Never have I so enjoyed being so wrong.

Never to late, you just worded it wrong. Instead of praying to see the second, pray to see one more and just keep on with that same prayer.
